Certification & Training of National Credit Counselors
Our comprehensive training and certification program prepares individuals to become National Certified Credit Counselors.
It begins by establishing what credit counselors do – they counsel people. Participants, therefore, learn the skills that are essential to all counseling and the problem-solving techniques.
The workshop curriculum includes:
• Defining the role of the counselor
• Taking control of personal finances
• Demystifying consumer credit
• Understanding and dealing with debt
• Ethics for credit counselors
• Consumer resources
• Consumer protection legislation
With these skills and knowledge in place, counselors are better able to empower their clients toward positive change.
